Wedding / Engagement Announcements
The Jewish Press welcomes announcements of engagements, weddings and civil unions of couples in which one or both are residents or former residents of the Tampa Bay area. The paper also will run announcements if any of the couple’s parents are residents here. Either the bride or bridegroom must be Jewish.
There is no charge for announcements or an accompanying photo. Announcements are run on a space available basis in the paper of residence and/or employment.
No form is needed. Mail or email information traditionally included in an engagement or wedding announcement such as the city/state residence of the bride and bridegroom, education and employment, parents and grandparents, if still living.
For the engagement announcement, you may want to include when and where the ceremony will be. The wedding announcement may also include the officiant, honeymoon destination and where the newlyweds are living.
All information submitted will be published at the discretion of the newspaper.
A black and white or color photograph is acceptable. The images should be sharp, not blurred or extremely dark. Head shots of the couple together are preferred.
Photos may be sent by mail or e-mailed in JPG, TIF, or EPS format at the highest resolution possible (a good gauge is a minimum of 300 dpi for an image 3 inches wide).
The Jewish Press cannot guarantee the photo will be returned unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is sent with the announcement.
